To
support its grassroots efforts within the State of Minnesota, the MSA
organizes and initiates political activities with corresponding units of
the Minnesota Medical Association and the American Society of
Anesthesiologists. Leading this effort for MSA is the
Government Affairs Committee.
Duties for members of the Government Affairs Committee include:
Working with members of professional government affairs consultants to enhance the MSA’s legislative and lobbying activities.
Developing relationships with Minnesota’s legislators in order to
have an opportunity to educate these legislators on issues important to
the MSA.
Working with the ASA to develop relationships with federal
legislators in order to have an opportunity to educate these legislators
on issues important to the ASA.
Working with all MSA members and professional government affairs consultants to encourage contributions to MSA-PAC.
Actively recruit other MSA members to help members of the Government Affairs Committee in our duties, as listed above.
